Local Odd Job relaunched its site with a completely new system layout. For a few years www.localoddjob.com has been little more than an idea sitting at the address and really offered its visitors little to nothing. Until recently that is.

Local Odd Job is now sporting a fully featured job board and a decent site layout as well. Registration is free for both employers and job seekers. The top of the home page reads: “Free Job Posting, Free Resume Viewing, and Free Resume Posting until April 16th | 04/16/2010” At this point it is unclear what will be billed and how much it will be billed for after April 16th of 2010. The About page does mention that the fee structure should be somewhere around $5 per month, but the details are yet to be worked out.

Sure there are plenty of job search sites available on the internet and some of them are even free, but Local Odd Job seems to be targeting the Odd Job industry as their name suggests which is a bit like the popular online freelance sites but with a real world twist.

At the time of writing this there is only one job posting and it is for a business opportunity (imagine that!). I suppose with the proper marketing and management LocalOddJob.com is something that could catch on especially if they intend to keep the prices low as mentioned.
